Retreat & Convention Hotel Information, Group Meals and Travel Information

Lodging for retreat and convention is not included in Registration fee and must be booked separately with the hotel by calling 847-625-7300 and mention Laughter Yoga USA for discount (online reservations do not receive discount)

For our Retreat and Convention- we have a special room rate of $99.00 per standard double room (not per person) for a limited number of rooms. Rooms are newly renovated and have many amenities standard. A few suites, wheelchair accessible rooms, balcony and lake view rooms are available at additional fee.

Make your reservations early to be sure you have a spot. The hotel reservation policy is similar to many national hotel chains which allow you to reserve a room now, secure with a credit card but you are not charged for the room until check-in. Our host hotel has rooms still available for the Spiritual Retreat, but is sold out for Saturday night of the Convention. We have group rates for the weekend at nearby hotels. Guests for the Spiritual Retreat are still encouraged to reserve at ILL beach resort during the retreat- as the hotel has many weekday rooms available.

Inn at Market Square: Zion, IL (847)872-4000, Mention Laughter Yoga USA for discounted rooms-$129.99night. This lovely hotel, 3miles from or convention center has a block of rooms saved for us the nights of Friday 6th and Saturday 7th; Discount is valid for king 1-bed standard rooms or queen 2- bed standard rooms.

Country Inn & Suites by Carlson: Zion IL (847)746-0101, rooms $100 night- ask for Laughter Yoga USA discount for queen 2- bed standard rooms. This property is only 2 miles from convention site and has a lovely pool.

Travelodge Waukegan & Gurnee: Zion IL approx $60 night. This budget conscious hotel is 5 miles from the convention site.

IMPORTANT: While booking in these hotels, please tell them that you are from Laughter Yoga USA Conference.

The award winning hotel chef will prepare our buffet style meals including a changing variety of vegetarian & meat options. (Gluten free and many other special meal types are available by request- please let us know details by August 1- email cynthia@laughteryogausa.org

Group meals allow us to bond further with the extra opportunity to laugh and talk with others in the LY community. Floor to ceiling glass windows offer stunning views from our private banquet room, with doors that open onto the lake side patio. Please note- there are not any places outside hotel within walking distance.

Thursday- breakfast, lunch dinner

**Optional meals must be ordered separate to Registration Fees.
All optional meals must be ordered by September 1st and any special dietary needs must be emailed to (my LY USA email) before August 1. Requests after these dates may not be possible.

Our host hotel is Illinois Beach Resort, Zion, Illinois 60099. It is located beachfront on Lake Michigan, north of downtown Chicago. Guests may wish to fly into Chicago Ohare airport and Milwaukee Mitchell Airport are both approx 45 min or more if heavy traffic. Chicago Ohare is often the cheapest flights, but often has more traffic, especially during busy/ rush hour times.

Chicago Midway airport is approx 1hr , 15min

The easiest method to reach the hotel is by Taxi or Uber or to pre-arrange an airport shuttle. There are a variety of companies with varying prices. Most require 2-3 days advance reservation, a few are available without reservation

Public transportation is available with a combination of light rail & bus from airport to Zion, Illinois and then Taxi/ Uber to hotel. If you are considering public transport- please be aware that while luggage is not prohibited on light rail/ bus it can be quite difficult to manage large luggage during busy / rush hour times.
